Company Profile

Active Moving & Storage Co. has been providing complete moving and storage services to northwest Florida since 1960, when it was founded by James W. Gilmore. In 1970, the company was incorporated under the laws of the state of Florida. In 1974, ownership and general management was assumed by Mr. Gilmore's daughter and son-in-law, Belinda and Steve Hernandez. In 2004, their son, Steven Hernandez, II, assumed the title of Operations Manager, making Active Moving & Storage Co. a family-owned and operated business for 3 generations.

Steven M. Hernandez, II, has been certified by the American Moving & Storage Association (AMSA) as a Certified Moving Consultant since 2005; and is currently the only AMSA Certified Office and Industrial Consultant in Northwest Florida.

Active Moving & Storage Co. has been an agent for interstate relocations for National Van Lines, Inc. (U.S. DOT No. 76628), a worldwide van line, for over 25 years.
