Meet Our Family

Steve Hernandez
President
Steve has been with Active Moving since 1974. Later that year, he and Belinda took over management of the company where Steve serves as the corporate president. In this capacity, he is responsible for the overall operation of the company, including marketing, operations, safety and DOT and DOD compliance. He is a graduate of Florida State University where he holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics.

Belinda Hernandez
Secretary / Treasurer
Belinda has been with Active Moving since she was 13 years old working under her father, Jim Gilmore, founder of the company. She took over management in 1973, becoming the 2nd generation to manage the company. Belinda serves as the corporate secretary/treasurer where she oversees all accounting and legal aspects of the company. She is a 1970 graduate of Woodham High School.

Steven Hernandez, II
Vice-President / General Manager
Steven started working for Active Moving in the summer of 1988 as a mover's helper. Through the years, he has progressed from mover, to road driver, to Warehouseman, to Operations Manager, to General Manager, and is now serving as Vice President of the company. In this position, he is responsible for sales, marketing, and operations. His credentials include being a Certified Moving Consultant (CMC) and a Certified Office and Industrial Consultant (COIC). Steven is the 3rd generation to manage Active Moving & Storage Co.

Kendall Hernandez
Public Relations
Kendall joined the Active Moving family in 2008 as the Director of Marketing. She develops and coordinates all promotional and marketing activities for the company, including research, sales strategies, and web development. Kendall holds a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations from the University of West Florida.

Tina Herring
Customer Service Representative
Tina joined the Active Moving family in 2005 as Administrative Assistant. She is responsible for phone sales, reception, and providing administrative support to staff, including billing and accounts payable. She is the company liaison between Active Moving and the Department of Defense at NAS Pensacola.

Cheryl Bland
Marketing & Sales
Cheryl has joined Active Moving as the Vice-President of Marketing/Sales. She will be responsible for new account development and implementing all marketing and sales programs. She will specialize in commercial warehousing, record storage, and office moves. Cheryl received her bachelor’s degree in Marketing with a minor in Management from the University of West Florida. She is also certified in Supply Chain/Logistics and Sales Management.
